Several young members of the Fergus Highland Rugby were lucky enough to attend the third annual Rugby Alliance youth skills clinic this past weekend.

On Sunday May 3, 2015, at “The Hangar” at Downsview Park in Toronto, several members of the Fergus Highland Rugby club along with hundreds of other youth kicked up some fun at the third annual rugby skills clinic, hosted by The Rugby Alliance.

The focus of this clinic was to teach young people key aspects of the game, fundamental skills, and most importantly, how to have fun playing rugby! Clinics were open to girls and boys ages 8 to 18 and no previous rugby experience was necessary! Kids received lessons from some the world’s best rugby coaches and players including Matt Burke (one of the world’s best fullbacks and all-time second-highest scorer for Australia) and Canadian World Cup legends like Gareth Rees, Al Charron, Kyle Nichols, and others.

In addition to their free registration and instruction, participants received a free rugby shirt, rugby ball and sport bag as well as complimentary snacks and refreshments.
