Highland's former President, Keith Drinkwater, is fighting cancer and is looking for our support...

The Fergus Highland Rugby Football Club has been a part of the Wellington community for many years. As a large sport organization for Fergus and the surrounding area, many children and adults alike have participated in Highland's supportive and fun team atmosphere.

Highland's former Club President, Keith Drinkwater has been fighting cancer for the past 9 months and after 6 surgeries, dozens of MRI’s and CT scans and ultrasounds, and hundreds of blood tests... he is looking for our support!

While reading the Wellington Advertiser he came across an article about a 6 year old girl at Salem Public School who has raised over $2000 for the Canadian Cancer Society, and is going to have 10” of her hair cut off (it has taken her most of her life to grow it).

Throughout his own struggles, Keith is looking to exceed this young girl's already incredible goals and inspiring story with the help of the community.

Keith is challenging the members of the club and the community to sponsor him shaving his head.

The proceeds would go directly to this young girl's efforts.

To make a donation to the cause, please go to the Indigogo page set up by the club:

Highland RFC fans and spectators can also support at the club's home opener on Saturday May 23rd. Spectators are asked to bring $2 to support the cause. Highland RFC's Senior Women and Men will be battling the Guelph Redcoats @ 12pm, 1pm and 3pm at Victoria Park in Fergus.
