For the 2nd year in a row, Highland's co-ed Masters (HOGS) teamed up with our minis program to raise funds and gather food donations in support of our community and the Centre Wellington Food Bank. The teams set up a donation table during practices and matchdays over the course of the summer, collecting over 500 pounds of food. This year we added the ability for folks to donate cash and our community didn't disappoint, collectively donating more than $700.00.
On August 26, our organizers gathered at our Clubhouse to present the donation to the Food Bank. Pictured L-R are; HOGS player Rob Cortis, Curt McQueen, Executive Director of the Centre Wellington Food Bank, HOGS player and campaign coordinator Malcolm Molloy, and Minis Coordinator, campaign Coordinator and HOGS player Andrew Coombes. In the front row are Minis Players Noah and Carter Lucoe.
Thanks to our community - players, parents and fans alike - for donating to this initiative and helping to tackle hunger in our community!
